In a brand-new movie, Emilia Clarke will play Constance Lloyd, a writer and the wife of playwright Oscar Wilde.

The 36-year-old actress will play Lloyd in Sophie Hyde’s film An Ideal Wife.
An Ideal Wife follows Lloyd, an Irish writer, and feminist activist from the 19th century. Wilde, the author of The Picture of Dorian Gray and a two-year homosexual prisoner, had two kids with Lloyd after they were married in 1884.
Following his scandal, Lloyd grew distant from Wilde and passed away in 1898 at the age of 40.
An Ideal Wife, which will be shopped at the American Film Market this week, will be handled by Embankment Films.
After the holiday romantic comedy Last Christmas in 2019, the film will be Clarke’s first that year. Additionally, the actress will play the lead role in McCarthy.
For her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game of Thrones, Clarke is most recognized.
